Lettie Strawn Winston

Lettie Strawn Winston, age 93 formerly of Charlotte passed away April 30, 2012 at her residence in Dallas, N. C. A service to celebrate her life will be at 2PM Thursday in Forest Lawn West Funeral Home Chapel, Reverends Tony Harper and Caroll Flack officiating. A visitation will be from 1-2PM prior to the service at the funeral Home. Interment will be in Forest Lawn West Cemetery.

Mrs. Winston was born in Union County, NC October 27, 1918 daughter of the late Carl Vann and Lee Ola Simpson Strawn. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Daughter: Martha Jo. Brooks (Ted) of Dallas, NC

Daughter in law: Gwen Winston of Concord, NC

Grandchildren: Robert Winston, III and fiancé, Christina Avellar, Lynne Winston Welsh (Brad) of Wake Forest, NC, Amy Brooks Prince (Terry), Christopher Van Brooks (Susan) all of Dallas, NC, five great grandchildren, special caregiver, Tracey Holmes and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Robert Winston, son, Robert Winston, Jr. and a brother, Robert Strawn and his wife, Iris

Pallbearers will be Robert Winston, III, Christopher Brooks, Robert Strawn, Jr., David Strawn, Benjamin Shives and Brice Brooks. Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, PO Box 2, Mt.
