Lillian “Jeanette” McGinn, 88, of Charlotte, passed away on November 27, 2011. She was born in Mecklenburg County on September 28, 1923 to Marshall and Lockie Mundy. Jeanette was an accomplished seamstress and charter member of Midwood Baptist Church but most of all, she loved her family and babysitting her grandchildren.
Jeanette was married for nearly 50 years to her beloved husband, Bill McGinn. She is predeceased by her husband, Bill and granddaughter, Lisa King. She is survived by her 3 children, Neal (Dana) McGinn; June (Rick) French and Marshall McGinn; granddaughters, Elizabeth Farley and Katherine (Dusty) Rhodes and 6 great-grandchildren, Samantha, Christian, Carson, Cameron, Gage and Natalie all of Charlotte.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm followed by a funeral service at 12:00 pm at Midwood Baptist Church, 2029 Mecklenburg Ave., Charlotte, NC 28205. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8910 Lawyers Rd., Charlotte, NC 28227.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in memory of Jeanette to Midwood Baptist Church.
