

She was born in Darlington, S.C., the daughter of Eugene and Ada Pendergast. Louise attended the University of South Carolina and Union Theology Seminary where she studied to become a Director of Christian Education.
In the 1950’s, Louise was the DCE at Avondale Presbyterian Church. She remained an active member at Avondale for many years. In 1971, she married Earl C. Chambers. They enjoyed traveling the world together before his death in 1993.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Earl Carter Chambers, her brother, Thomas Pendergast, and her sisters, Genevieve McCuen, Jean Pendergast, Dora Goza and a stepdaughter, Carole Howard.
She is survived by her niece, Patricia Meehan; her stepchildren, Nancy Beaver (Bob) and Tim Chambers (Betty), and her five step grandchildren, Jennifer Kistler, Amanda Zoblisein, Blair and Zach Chambers and Megan Carnell.
A private graveside service will be held at Avondale Presbyterian Church in the Avondale Sacred Garden.
