Lucille W. Wright

Mrs. Wright, age 80, of Charlotte, passed away Friday, December 6, 2013. She was born April 17, 1933 to the late Versi and Mable Cassada. Lucy was a retired waitress/night manager with a long career at Athen’s Restaurant where she worked for 35 years.

Lucy is survived by seven children, Karen Foster and husband, Ronald, Barry Martin and wife, Martha, Terry Martin, Alisha Wright and husband, Dwayne, Trudy Austin and Arthur “Bo” E. Wright, Jr., all of Charlotte and Tammy Shaffer and husband, Bill, of TN; sister, Geraldine Leazer of Gastonia; 24 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; and a great-great granddaughter. In addition to her parents, Lucy was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur “Art” E. Wright, Sr., son, Calvin Martin, Jr., infant son, Gary; four brothers, Noel, Eugene, Bryant and Carl; and two sisters, Catherine Nesbit and Chestine Eppley.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 11th at Wilson Funeral & Cremation Service. The family will receive friends 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
