

Luther was born on December 31, 1949, in Colon, de Republic of Panama, to the late Luther Roy Fisher Sr. and Elsie Fisher. He attended Colegio Abel Bravo de Colón and later continued his education at Anderson College in Anderson, Indiana, graduating in 1975 with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science. He spent his career at EDS Corporation as a Systems Software Programmer for over 30 years.
Luther married the love of his life, Denise, and together they shared fifty wonderful years of marriage. Their were blessed with five children, who were the center of Luther’s world. A devoted husband and father, Luther found great joy in being present in his children’s lives. He spent many happy years coaching his sons’ soccer teams and encouraging all his children to pursue their passions with integrity and determination.
Luther was known for his warm spirit, his driven nature, and unwavering faith. He had a lifelong love for soccer and a keen fascination with physics and space exploration. His faith guided him throughout his life, and he found comfort and inspiration in studying the Bible.
Luther will be remembered for his kindness, wisdom, and the love he shared so freely with everyone around him. His legacy lives on through his beloved wife Denise, their five children, and all those whose lives he touched.
In addition to his parents, Luther was predeceased by his brother, Alfonso Fisher and sisters, Lydia Fisher and Elvia Thompson.
Luther is survived by his wife, Denise Fisher; children, Luther (Natalie) Fisher III, Adarrel (Maya) Fisher, James Fisher, Dwight (Carissa) Fisher and Douglas (Hazel) Fisher; grandchildren, Liliana, Nataniel, Isaiah, Isaac, Naya, Veda, Ayla, Serena, Cillian, and Leon; siblings, Elcilia (Lorenzo) Harris, Edmundo Fisher, Guillermo (Frances) Fisher, Rogelio (Cheryl) Fisher, Vanessa (Luis) Sobers, Alberto Fisher, Brenilda (Pernall) Dale, and Anastacia (Wilford) Clark; step brother, Quami Fisher; and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Friday, October 31, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Wilson Funeral and Cremation Service, 5301 Albemarle Road, Charlotte, NC 28212. A service celebrating Luther's life will immediately follow.
