Mabel Smith Hollifield

Mrs. Hollifield, age 94, of Charlotte, died Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Legacy Heights. Born December 7, 1917 in Jefferson, SC, she was a daughter of the late Julius Smith and Cordelia Huntley Smith. Mrs. Hollifield retired as Vice President, Branch Manager of NCNB after 26 years of service. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church.

The service to celebrate the Life of Mabel Smith Hollifield will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 3, 2012 from the graveside at Sharon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Monday at Wilson Funeral & Cremation Service.

Survivors include three sons, Eddie Hollifield of Ft. Myers, FL, Ron Hollifield of Sarasota, FL and Jerry Hollifield of Weddington, NC; five grandchildren, Jerry Hollifield, Jr., Candy Sperati, Julie Hollifield, Jake Hollifield and Gretchen Ewers; and ten great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hollifield was preceded in death by her husband, William Hollifield in 1974; three sisters; and two brothers.
