She was the daughter of the late J. L. and Mae Ella Helms Ridge.
Lib was one of the original students at Thomasboro High School and was a long-time employee of Hydro Prints in Charlotte for many years.
She enjoyed cooking, gardening music and reading.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jack R. Rhodes., Sr. and son Jack R. Rhodes, Jr.
She is survived by daughters, Teresa Williams, Diane Hueske and Donna Few; sons, Wayne Rhodes, Rick Rhodes and Michael Rhodes; sister, Kathryn Bolick; 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Mrs. Rhodes funeral will be held at 11:00am Friday, December 11, 2015 in the Paul Helton Chapel of Forest Lawn West with Reverend Hugh McKinney officiating. Interment will follow the service in Forest Lawn West Cemetery.
Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service.
