I knew her from working with my father at McClintock Jr. High School.  Dad was the principal and she was his admin. She was a part of making this school a great one with my dad.  Jim Cockerham passed away today, Oct. 22,2017. I was looking for Charlotte folks that may have known him and saw this. May God Bless her. 

I want to express my deepest sympathy to the family of Margaret.  I only learned of her passing into Glory this very evening.  I have not taken the newspaper for some time and I only learned of her passing today.  I loved your sweet Mother so very much.  She was a member of our "Y" Bible study that has been going since 2001.  I have been a part of this wonderful Bible study group and Margaret was a very faithful member that added so much Bible wisdom to our group.  Margaret often led our Bible Studies and she was always such an inspiration to me.  She truly loved and served the Lord and her life was a reflection of her great faith.  When she shared with our group that she had Cancer, she did not ever seem to have any fear nor dread and expressed that she was "ready" to meet the Lord when He called.  She always had a smile and joy that I will always remember.  She did not hesitate to say how much she loved the Lord and she often talked with great pride about her children and those beautiful grandchildren and  she would take pride in showing us the latest pictures.  Margaret had many friends and I know she will be one to greet me when I pass into heaven. I will always love and miss this dear kind lady until I see her again one day in heaven. Margaret was a true"southern lady". It was my privilege to be her roommate at both State and National Association of Educational Office Professionals conferences for many years. She loved life, her family and friends and was always the first to ask how she could help when there was a need. She served as our local president and on numerous committees for the State and Local Associations.

Margaret was a lifetime friend who will not be forgotten.   She was truly a remarkable lady in every respect.   So dedicated to her family and church.   She was my Mother's best friend for 66 years, as is the entire Bigham family.   We love each of you dearly and are so sorry for your profound loss of a lovely Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother.

It was a joy to be a classmate of Margaret at Berryhill High School.  We were in the last class that graduated there, before their merger into West Mecklenburg High.  Margaret was the epitome of dignity and class, in the best sense of those words.  My prayer is that God's greatest comfort will be with her surviving family during these days.
