Margaret Fincher

Mrs. Margaret "Princess" Fincher, age 93, of Charlotte passed away Friday, June 15, 2012 at her home. She was born on March 6, 1919 in Stanly County North Carolina, daughter of the late Herod Alexander and Tina Rowena Eudy Hatley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Nay Fincher, her granddaughter Crystal Renee Bowen, 7 brothers and 5 sisters. Margaret had been a member of Oakhurst Baptist Church since 1950 and a member of the Highlighters Dance Club. She worked as a Unit Secretary at Wesley Nursing Center for over 20 years, where she received special awards for her unique skills and services. She held court in her kitchen, which was the favorite gathering place for friends and family. There was always great food, fellowship and stories. She knew how to have a good time. She loved music, especially "Rocky Top", dancing, especially clogging, and a good game of setback. She lived a life of passion which she has passed on to her family and friends. We would not be where we are today if she had not been our "Household Technician". We love you. She is survived by a son, Benjy Fincher and wife Ruth of Conyers, Georgia, a daughter Yvonne Bowen and

husband Bob of Greensboro. NC; grandchildren, Michelle Bowen, Robert C. Bowen III and wife Anne, Cathy Reed, and Ben Fincher, Jr. and wife Linda. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren: Nathan Reed, Aaron Reed, Rachel Reed and husband Zach, Isaiah Reed, A.J. Arthur, Benjamin Bowen, Timothy Bowen and Mollie Bowen and 1 great-great-grandson, Levi Reed, son of Nathan Reed. Margaret loved her 3 special caregivers, Lucy, Ruth and Marilyn. The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation for their faithful, tender, and loving care. A celebration of her life will be held Tuesday June, 19th , at 2:00 p.m. at Oakhurst Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will
