Margaret C Gulledge

It is with great sadness that the family of Margaret Caudle Gulledge announces her passing on December 6, 2017 at the age of 94. She died peacefully at White Oak Manor surrounded by her loved ones. She is survived by her children-Son, Ronald Edward Gulledge; Daughter-in-law, Brooks Gulledge; Daughter, Sharon Starnes and her beloved Grandchildren; Stacy, Blair, Lester, and Eric.

She was born in Peachland, NC on April 3, 1923, daughter of the late Calvin Lee Caudle and Lula B. Caudle. She was preceded in death by her brother, Edmond "Tom" Caudle and her husband Edward Lee Gulledge.

Margaret graduated from Peachland High School and attended Pfeiffer College.

Mrs. Gulledge was an active member of Cornerstone Baptist Church, formerly Chantilly Baptist Church, in Charlotte NC. She was a faithful member of the Fellowship Class. She was associated with retail for many years with Ivey's. She also served as manager for the Tall Girl Shop in several locations with phenomenal style and efficiency. Her hobbies were gardening and reading. She loved birds, her friends, and most of all, her family. Margaret was better known as "Mana" or "MeMe" by her grandchildren for whom she set the perfect example of loving grace.

Margaret's family would like to send heartfelt thanks to the many relatives, friends, and staff at White Oak Manor for their constant care and love.

Visitation will be at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 8947 Albemarle Rd. Charlotte, NC 28227

at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 16 with a Memorial Service to follow immediately at 12:00 noon in the same location. Graveside service will be private. Flowers are appreciated. If you so desire, memorials may be made to Cornerstone Baptist Church at the above address.
