Margaret Harrill Hollingsworth

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hollingsworth; infant son, Robert; and siblings, Robert Harrill, Mary Harrill, Rose Harrill and Katherine Harrill Zilk.

She is survived by her three children, Robert Hollingsworth and wife, Elise, of Wilmington, NC, Margo Hollingsworth of Atlanta, GA, and John Hollingsworth and wife, Meg, of Weddington, NC; grandchildren, Hudson Hollingsworth and wife, Kristyn, Henry Hollingsworth, Hannah Hollingsworth and Jack Hollingsworth; sister, Ruth Campbell; and brother, George Harrill.

Margaret grew up in Bostic, NC and was a graduate of Forest City High School and Queens College. She was an avid reader and crossword enthusiast. Her flair for fashion was evident, as her career took her from Neiman Marcus in Atlanta to Montaldoʼs in Charlotte, after her husbandʼs death. For over twenty years, she enjoyed managing Treasures Unlimited, where she developed great friendships with both coworkers and customers.

The family wishes to express appreciation to the caregivers of Hospice of Charlotte and Home Care of Charlotte Referrals, especially Alice Goosen.

Interment will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at Forest Lawn West Cemetery.

A memorial service will follow at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Harry & Bryant Company, 500 Providence Road. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:15 p.m. prior to the service at Harry & Bryant.
