Margie Baucom Snipes

Mrs. Snipes, age 86, of Charlotte, died Tuesday, April 19th at Lawyers Glen Retirement Center. Born December 3, 1929 in Peachland, she was a daughter of the late Luther Baucom and Sarah Alice Nance Baucom. Mrs. Snipes retired from Southern Bell after 42 years of dedicated service. She was a member of Eastern Hills Baptist Church and the WMU.

The service to celebrate the Life of Margie Baucom Snipes will be held 12:00 PM Saturday, April 23rd at Eastern Hills Baptist Church with Dr. Gary Baldwin officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. At other times, the family will be meeting at the home of Lois McKinney, 5800 Harris Grove Lane, Charlotte. Interment will be in Sharon Memorial Park.

Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Knight; sister-in-law, Lois McKinney; a granddaughter; and a great granddaughter. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Snipes was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Edmond Snipes; and a son, Earl Edmond Snipes, Jr.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Eastern Hills Baptist Church or Midwood Baptist Church.
