

Born in New Jersey, on July 14, 1965, Mark was the son of John B. Langan, Sr. and the late Elizabeth Langan. Raised in Metuchen, NJ, he was a 1983 graduate of St. Joseph’s High School, a parishioner of St. Francis Cathedral Church and a long-time member of the Metuchen Elks. Mark furthered his education at the University of Dayton, class of 1987, where he earned a degree in Criminal Justice. His 30+ year career in banking began in New York City where he worked for Fidelity Investments and Deutsche Bank before relocating, with his family, to the Carolinas in 2008. In Charlotte, NC, Mark worked for Broadridge Financial and Wells Fargo Bank. Up until his passing, Mark was a Lead Financial Accountant with Wells Fargo, recently celebrating his 10th year anniversary.
Mark was always happy, patient, and had the kindest heart. His warm smile was infectious, everyone who knew him - loved him and his sharp sense of humor. Mark loved his family, friends, and colleagues more than anything. He will be dearly missed.
Mark is preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Langan; father-in-law, William J. Salmon; sister-in-law, Elizabeth G. Langan; and nephew, Vincent Donato.
Mark is survived by his wife of 29 years, Nancy (Salmon) Langan, three children, Jennifer of Charleston, SC, Jack of Nashville, TN and Luke of Charlotte, NC.
He is also survived by his father, John B. Langan, Sr of The Villages, FL; brothers, John B. Langan Jr (MaryEllen) of Roanoke, VA and Kevin Langan of Youngstown, OH; mother-in-law Irene Salmon of Charlotte, NC; brothers and sisters-in-law: Thomas Salmon DC of Red Bank, NJ, Mary Grillo (Robert) of Barnegat, NJ, Kathleen Donato of Palm Coast, FL, William Salmon (Doris) and Michael Salmon (Anjanette) both of Cary, NC, Terence Salmon (Judy) of Verona, NJ; nieces and nephews: Trevor Langan (Haili), Colin Langan, Jessica Pacinda (Nick), Sherrie-Lynne Donato, Ryan Salmon (Alyssa), Kyle Salmon (Mollie), Julia Salmon, Owen Salmon, Michael Salmon, Mackenzie Salmon and Matthew Salmon; and great niece Aubrey Donato. Mark also leaves behind many dear cousins, friends, and colleagues.
The family will receive friends Thursday, June 8th, 6-8PM at Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 568 Middlesex Ave, Metuchen, NJ 08840.

In lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed, in Mark’s honor, to LOWVELO, an annual fundraising event funding lifesaving cancer research at MUSC Hollings Cancer Center, Charleston, SC.
Mark’s family has created a team to participate in the LOWVELO bike race in Charleston, SC on November 4, 2023. Donations can be made directly to the team. The family also welcomes family, friends, and colleagues to join their team and participate with them in the bike race, in person or virtually.
