Marshall Deshazo Huffman

Marshall Deshazo Huffman, 88, of Monroe, North Carolina entered into rest on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at his residence. A native of Catawba County, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Rufus Filo Huffman and Dicie Cooke Huffman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Mary Holder Huffman, and three brothers, Murl Alfonzo Huffman, Donald Deshillo Huffman, and James Odell Huffman. Mr. Huffman graduated from Pineville High School in 1945 and worked at Cone Mills Corporation for many years prior to his retirement.

Mr. Huffman leaves to cherish his memory, a sister, Doris Campbell and her husband Johnny of Monroe, NC; a sister, Darlene Childers and her husband Kenneth of Piedmont, South Carolina; and a brother Roy Holder and wife Peggy of Rock Hill, South Carolina. A sister-in-law, Lorene Huffman (wife of Murl), of Durham, NC and many loving nieces and nephews survive him.

A service celebrating the life of Mr. Huffman will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at 12:30 PM in the Chapel of McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park with the Rev. Al Huffman officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 am on Wednesday and concluding immediately prior to the funeral service. Interment will follow in the Gardens of Sharon Memorial Park.
