Mary Boone

Mary was a people person. She was the happiest when her home was full of people. She really loved hearing and telling jokes. Joking around was her nature. She loved music, especially Hank Thompson and listening to her son, Phillip, play the guitar until she lost her hearing. She stayed young at heart for many years. Mary Margarette will be fondly remembered and missed.

She is survived by 2 children; Brenda Backer and husband Les of Davisdon, and Phillip Boone and wife Beverly of Beaumont, TX.;a sister Cleta Piper of Copperas Cove, TX, 2 grandchildren and 5 great granddaughters. She was also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and was predeceased by 2 brothers, Donald Riley and Dale Riley and 3 sisters, Nora Belle Mack, Irene Davidson and Imogene Evetts and a great granddaughter, Desiree Boone.

Funeral Services and interment will be private at the convenience of Mrs. Boone’s family. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 1901 Brunswick Ave, Suite 100, Charlotte, NC 28207. Online condolences may be offered through www.forestlawnwest.com.
