Mary Crenshaw Duckett

Mrs Duckett, a homemaker, was born in Fort Mill, SC. She was a daughter of the late Sanford S. Crenshaw and Jennie Giles Crenshaw. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Crenshaw, sister Arlene Catoe, and her husband of 39 years, George Duckett.

Mary was a legal secretary at the law firm of Parrott, Bell, Seltzer, Park & Gibson from 1958 to 1972. A member of Providence United Methodist Church and Carmel Country Club, Mrs. Duckett enjoyed playing the piano, the game of bridge, and crossword puzzles. Mary resided at Brookdale Carriage Club on Providence Road.

Mary is survived by a daughter, Teri Bradshaw (David), a granddaughter and grandson, Rachel and David Bradshaw Jr., nieces Elaine Sellers of Fort Mill and Diane Catoe of Charlotte; stepchildren Sharon Matthews, Jackie Thelen, Rachel Zagaroli (Chuck) of Michigan, and George Duckett, Jr. of Indiana; Debora Duckett Wood (Dan) of Texas, Errol Duckett (Sheron) of Charlotte; Boyd Duckett of Alabama; and their children.

A memorial service for Mrs. Duckett will be held at McEwen Pineville Chapel at 11:00am on Saturday, January 27, 2018 where the family will receive friends following the service. Inurnment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Heart Association, 202 S. Church St. Suite 303, Charlotte. NC.
