Mary Louise Smith Green, 82 of Charlotte, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at Carrington Place Nursing Home. Louise was born in Lenoir, NC on July 14, 1929, to the late Mary Kate Smith Phillips and Cicero Phillips.
She retired from Duke Power Company as a secretary. She was also a member of Midwood Baptist Church.
Louise is survived by her granddaughter, Ashley Broome Roney and husband Tommy Roney of Enid, OK and son –in- law, Ralph W. Broome of Charlotte. Great grandchildren Christopher and Destinee Roney and several cousins. She is preceded in death by her late life-long husband, Carl Ed Green and daughter Glenda Kay Green Broome.
The family will receive friends from 12:00pm until 1:00pm Friday, October 7, 2011 at Midwood Baptist Church 2029 Mecklenburg Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28205. The funeral service will follow at 1:00pm. Interment will be in Sunset Memory Gardens.
