Lib was a member of Plaza Baptist Church, Ruth Sunday School Class and The Pillars.
She attended Tech High School and retired from Presbyterian Hospital after 17 years.
She is survived by her sister Faye Tripp of Columbia, SC, 4 grandchildren, Brian (Stephanie) Helms, Scott (Denise) Helms, Robin Anderson, and Dana Helms, 7 great grandchildren and daughters in law, Jane Helms and Donna Deal.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cathy Vickery and son Thomas Helms, brothers, Jack, Thomas, William, and Robert and sisters, Nell McFalls and Virginia Thompson.
The family will receive friends on Sunday May 5, 2013, from 1:00 till 3:00 PM at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Rd. Charlotte, NC 28212. A service to celebrate her life will begin at 3:00 PM. Interment will follow in Sharon Memorial Park.
