Maura Whittier Baughman of Charlotte passed away January 8, 2011. She was born July 22, 1956, in Durham, N.C. and lived most her life in Florida, graduating from Hernando High School in 1973 and attending Florida State University. She moved to Charlotte in 1991 and was most recently employed at Microsoft Corporation in Charlotte in their Support and Content organizations.
She is survived by her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Robert PC Whittier, MD, of Tallahassee, Florida; her husband Jeff Baughman of Charlotte, NC; brothers Christopher Whittier and Paul Whittier of Tallahassee, Florida; step-son Christopher Baughman of Gainesville, Florida, and beloved nieces Allison Whittier, Jordan Whittier and Lauren Whittier, all of Tallahassee, Florida. She was preceded in death by her brother Kevin Whittier.
The family will receive friends from 6:30pm to 8pm, Thursday, January 13, 2011, at McEwen Funeral Service Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, NC.
