While Melissa lived most of her life in Charlotte and attended East Mecklenburg High School, she graduated from high school in Johnson City, TN.
Melissa is survived by her half-sisters, Emily Dawn King and husband Dexter of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Andrea Miller of Johnson City, TN; also several aunts and uncles, and many cousins.
A memorial service will be held by the family on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 11:00am at Forest Lawn West Funeral Home.
