Michael Thomas Langcake

He was born in Englishtown, NJ on 03/13/1959. He was a son of the late Harold Thomas Langcake and Agnes June Langcake. He graduated from Kinston High School in Kinston, NC in 1977 and graduated from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC in 1981 with a degree in Business Administration.

He started his career at Unity Knitting Mills in Wadesboro, NC as a Production Clerk and was promoted to Assistant Production Manager. He was currently employed by Harris Teeter as a self checkout Cashier.

The joy of Mike's life was his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Lisa Langcake, who he married on July 2, 1994. He enjoyed relaxing at home and traveling, especially visiting family and friends. He is survived by mother, June Langcake as well as his brother, Tom Langcake and two sisters, Jane Langcake and Debbie Shingleton. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Langcake and brother, Jim Langcake.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Michael will be held Thursday, May 18, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 8015 Ballantyne Commons Parkway, Charlotte, NC 28277.
