He was in the care of his daughter, son-in-law and the devoted care of Hospice.
Born November 20, 1949, in Peabody, Massachusetts he was the son of a shipper named Frank Norris and Deneige Ouellette. Following his graduation from Salem High, Michael joined the Navy at the age of eighteen. He started his career as an electrician in 1967 for the United States Navy, from which he retired in 1986.
He was a stern, yet fun, father who always only wanted the best for his daughter and a caring “Grand Pappy”, who was always willing to help, no matter how far away he may have lived. He was a softie for the grands.
He is survived by his only child, daughter Angela Harris and son-in-law Demetrius Harris. Also, three beloved grandchildren, Tanesha Brown, Tyray Harris, and Tiara Harris; along with four great grandchildren, Shaquel Brown, Jr., Junior Harris, Demir Pearson and Ty’vion Harris. He also leaves behind two sisters, Joyce Noble, Elaine Norris, and a brother Paul Norris.
