Mildred Bowers Walker, 88, of Charlotte, died Saturday, October 9, 2010 at CMC –Mercy. She was the daughter of the late George W. and Nancy Jane Kiker Bowers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, David “D.J.” Walker
A loving mother, grand mother and great grandmother, she will be sorely missed by those who love her.
She and husband, D.J, owned and operated the Home Electric Shop in Charlotte for more than 30 years.
Funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at Forest Lawn West Chapel with Reverend A. J. Thomas officiating. Interment will follow the service in Forest Lawn West Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:30 AM until 11:45 AM.
She is survived by her sons, Randy Walker and wife, Pam of Charlotte, Larry Walker of Charlotte; grandchildren, Carrie Davis, Emily Hudson, Matt Walker, David Walker and Christopher Walker; great-grandchildren, Calli Davis, Ryan Walker, Kayden Walker, Cameron Walker and Tyler; numerous nieces and nephews.
