

A native of Staten Island, NY, Mrs. Cassidy was born to the late Moses Gheraldi and Elizabeth Grosskopf Gheraldi on September 30, 1940. She loved to read and play her numbers and was notorious for her saying “That’s one!” But she never managed to get to three. Mrs. Cassidy is preceded in death by her husband, Francis “Pee-Wee” Cassidy, by sons Christopher and Edward Cassidy and by brothers Andrew “Andy” and Joseph “Joe” Gheraldi.
Mrs. Cassidy is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Cassidy Rubio of Matthews, NC; goddaughter Pamela Miller Moody of Farmingdale, NY; sister Rosemary Gheraldi Miller of Staten Island, NY; grandchildren Bryanne Cassidy Bean, Adrianna Rubio Thompson, Christopher “CC” Cassidy, Edward “Eddie” Cassidy, Jr., Justin Francis Cassidy, Daniel “Danny” Cassidy, Nancianne Rubio, Brandon Rubio, Faith Cassidy, Shaun Cassidy, Kirsten Melton, Nikki Melton; great-grandchildren Nadia Thompson, Jason Bean, Zoey Cassidy, Chloe Cassidy, Bella Cassidy-Bean and Camryn Thompson.
A celebration of life will be held 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 13 in the chapel at Wilson Funeral and Cremation Service, 5301 Albemarle Rd., Charlotte, NC. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service on Wednesday.
