

Born on November 26, 1954, in Youngstown, Ohio, to Carmelo Pagan and Victoria Igartua, Naomi lived a life marked by compassion, dedication, and service. She graduated from Francisco Mendoza High School and pursued further education at both the Inter American University of Puerto Rico and Central Piedmont Community College.
Over the course of more than four decades, Naomi made a lasting impact on the communities she served. Her career spanned a wide range of roles—from supporting service members at the US Army Garrison Ansbach in Germany, to nurturing young minds as a preschool teacher at Kiddie Korner, and offering warmth and professionalism in customer service positions at Walmart, Charlotte Area Transit System, Piedmont Natural Gas, and Walgreens. In every role, Naomi brought kindness, dedication, and a genuine love for people.
Naomi will be remembered for her generous heart, candid nature, and unwavering loyalty. She had a gift for making everyone feel seen and heard, whether they were lifelong friends or strangers passing by. Her vibrant personality and ability to bring joy to any setting made her truly unforgettable.
She is survived by her three children—Francisco Perez, Maria Showman, and Nadia Perez—and her beloved granddaughter, Rebecca Quintana.
Visitation will take place at McEwen Funeral Service, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte on Saturday, August 30, 2025 beginning at 12pm. A celebration of Naomi's life will follow at 2pm. Inurnment will be at Sharon Memorial Park. At Naomi's request, please celebrate her life by wearing any color but black.
