When I joined Royal Insurance in 1988 Neal was one of the managers that "Welcome Me" to the company.  And every time we connected afterward he always ask "how are things going". I felt so a part to be Welcomed by one of the managers and he was so sincere and polite.  I was sadden to learn of his passing but I must say that his job was well done Mr Coticelli. 

In 1980, Royal was dissolving the Assigned Risk department, they tried to find jobs in the company for all interested employees. I interviewed with Neal,  There was a 15 minute talk about shift work and other duties, followed by 90 minutes of softball, stickball and Brooklyn. As it turned out he knew some of my wife’s family. That started an almost 40 yrs friendship. He and Brenda would see my wife while shopping, I would meet with Neal at Portofinos for lunch.
Neal was my boss, then my friend but most of all a Gentleman. 


Neal hired me in 1987.  Luckily I was able to thank him recently for hiring me and enabling me to have a 30 year career.  Very nice man.  

We will miss you, Neal, as we have missed Brenda.  But now the two of you are together again for eternity.  We have fond memories of morning coffee clutches at Panera Bread "solving world problems"  and trading pet stories and the great dinners at Portofino's with family and friends.  May you rest in peace.  🙏

We are so sorry to hear this.  Neal was a wonderful guy, I worked with him for many years at Royal, we would do lunch once in a while when we could both meet up after he retired, and of course it was at Portofino's.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you guys.

I interviewed with Neal for a job in operations with Royal in Charlotte to go to NY and help move the data center to Charlotte.  My interview was to last 30 minutes…however we discussed baseball and softball for almost 2 hours and never got around to discussing IT operations….one of the best bosses I ever worked with….Thanks Neal for my career with Royal and softball opportunities with the company team
