Dr. Odinga M. Oginga, 81, of Charlotte, NC passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024. Born February 25, 1943 in Wilmington, NC, he was the son of the late William Fuller Sr. and Mary Jane (Reaves) Fuller.
Dr. Oginga attended the following schools, Peabody, Dudley, Williston Junior and Williston Senior High Schools.
He moved to Queens, New York in 1959 and joined the US Air Force in 1960 and returned to New York after four years of military service.
In December of 1965, Dr. Oginga joined the New York Police Department and remained there until his retirement in June of 1981. He later moved to Charlotte, NC and was employed with the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System until 1985 after which he joined a government agency and retired in 1995.
He is survived by his wife, Hasel; children, Quatief, Ato, William, Olabisi and Ogbonna.
