A native of Mecklenburg County, Mrs. Hoppes was born to the late C.L. "Bud" Cherry and Margie Elaine Wilson Cherry on July 7, 1942. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Full Gospel and was preceded in death by a daughter, Lori Baucom.
Mrs. Hoppes is survived by her husband, Thomas P. Hoppes of the home; children, Theresa Davis, Karen Kiker, Randy Davis all of Charlotte; sisters, Peggy Christopher of Mooresville, Beverly Sadler of Charlotte; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held 11:00a.m., Tuesday, December 13 in the chapel at Wilson Funeral and Cremation Service, 5301 Albemarle Rd., Charlotte with Pastor Michael Hedgecoe officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
