Patricia 'Pat' Creswell Faggart

Patricia 'Pat' Creswell Faggart, age 90, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2024. Born on October 20, 1934, in Charlotte and raised in Shelby, NC, Pat dedicated her life to family, faith and service. For the past nine years, she was a cherished resident of the Navion of Shelby, where she was loved by staff, friends, and family alike.

Pat's Christian journey was deeply rooted in Central United Methodist Church (CUMC) in Shelby, where she was baptized, confirmed, and, in 1954, married to her beloved husband, Max Faggart. Their shared life took them from Newton to Charlotte, where in 1958 they settled and became charter members of St. Thomas Lutheran Church. Pat's dedication to her faith and her church community was unwavering; through her involvement in church committees and service projects, she embodied a life of purpose, kindness, and active commitment.

A talented homemaker and gifted seamstress, Pat's home was known for its warmth, hospitality, and grace. Her creativity and generosity left a lasting impact on all who entered. She delighted in time spent with family and friends, especially on treasured beach trips and travels, which have left her family with a legacy of beautiful memories.

She is survived by her daughter Susan Beaver, her husband Rick Beaver and their son Thomas; her son, Steve Faggart, his wife Trish Faggart, and their son Alex. She also leaves behind her sister, Anne Wray, sister-in-law Melba Bridges, sister-in-law Linda Bostian and husband Raymond, brother-in-law Richard Faggart, as well as nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cherished pets.

She is predeceased by her parents, Warren Davis Creswell and Mildred Beatrice Creswell; her brothers, John Keith Creswell and Warren Davis Creswell, Jr.; her brother-in-law Julian B. Wray; and sisters-in-law Ruby Creswell, Evelyn Creswell, and Peggy Troutman, along with Peggy's husband, Roy Troutman.

In tribute to Pat's life and spirit, the family requests that donations be made in her honor to Central United Methodist Church, 200 East Marion Street, Shelby, NC 28105.
