

CHARLOTTE - "Patta" Patricia Morrison Punch-Bullis, 63, of Charlotte, peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 12, 2017. Patta fought a courageous 20 month battle with bile-duct cancer and had the most amazing outlook on life. Patta was born December 18,1953 in Florence, South Carolina to Bruce Homer Morrison and the late Betty Jane Boswell Morrison (1998). Patta grew up in Charlotte with 4 siblings. She was previously married to Gary William Punch for 25 years, had 2 sons, Matthew and Brian, and remained devoted friends. Patta married Daryl Wayne Bullis, October 2008, whom she referred to as "the love of my life."
Patta grew up in Charlotte, attending J. Mason Smith Junior High School, 1972 graduate of Olympic High School in Charlotte, and graduated from UNC-Greensboro, Greensboro, NC, in 1977 earning a BS in Communications & Arts, with a minor in Home Economics. Patta served 18 years as a licensed real estate broker/agent and was associated with Weichert Realtors, Weichert Realtors Rebhan & Associates, and in December 2013 joined Allen Tate Realtors where she was currently employed. Prior years Patta worked as a Sales Representative with Sara Lee Corporation, and Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools at Lansdowne Elementary serving as a Teacher Assistant.
Patta was a member of St. Stephen United Methodist Church and The Life Class who supported her with on-going meals. She was active with the youth group during her sons middle/high school age. Patta enjoyed spending time with friends, her children, grandchildren, relaxing on the Morrison farm in McBee, South Carolina, special lunch outings with her father "PoppIes," cruises to the Bahamas with family, and selling real estate. Patta adored her Chi Porn dog, Paisley Sparkle Pants, and Gracie her new Schnauzer puppy. She was a devoted wife, mother, step-mother, loving grandmother, daughter, sister, friend, co-worker and Christian. Patta loved life. She was her own advocate a fighter against cancer.
She is survived by her loving husband, Daryl Wayne Bullis of 9 years, her 5 children; Matthew William Punch and wife Becky of Newton, NC, Brian Allen Punch and wife Rebecca "Becca" of Charleston, SC, and step daughter Carmen Punch Smith and husband Mike of Concord, NC, and step sons, Richie and Joey Bullis of Charlotte; devoted friend Gary William Punch of Hickory; father, Bruce Homer Morrison "Poppies" of Charlotte; 4 siblings, Brenda Morrison Perdue and husband Edward "Ed" of Waxhaw, Rodger Bruce Morrison and wife Brenda of Charlotte, Brian Timothy "Tim" Morrison and wife Denise of Waxhaw, and Edward Randal " Randy" Morrison and wife Deborah of Monroe; 2 grandchildren, Owen and Colin; 10 niece and nephews, Taylor, Whitney, Hunter, Margaret, Meredith, Bruce, Amanda, Preston, Julie and Patrick whom she adored; and other extended family.
Please join us in celebrating Patta's life. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 15, 10:00 am at St. Stephen United Methodist Church, 6800 Sardis Road, Charlotte. A Celebration of Life will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the church sanctuary, officiated by the Reverend Keith Bingham and Reverend Mark King. Inurnment will be private. At other times, the family will be gathering at home.
