Charlotte – Patsy L. Carter, 84, died December 31, 2014 at her home. She was born in Mecklenburg County on March 27, 1930, the daughter of Willie Smith and Mary Trusdale Smith. She attended Berryhill High School in Charlotte and retired from Pneumafil Corporation after 20 years of service. Patsy was a member of Eastway Baptist Church. Her biggest love was her grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, Robert Lee Carter, Sr. a son Robert Lee Carter, Jr. and her siblings, Anne Ernest, Marion Smith, Robert Smith and Jack Smith. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Carter Pinion of Troutman, NC a son Steven Clark of Monroe, NC and her brother, William Smith of Midland, NC. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. A period of visitation will be held on Monday January 5, 2015 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM at McEwen Funeral Service at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Rd., Charlotte. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Eastway Baptist Church, 2749 Eastway Dr., Charlotte, NC 28205
