Paul A. Shaeffer

Paul A. Shaeffer, 63, of Charlotte, North Carolina, died Saturday, September 24th, 2011 in Waynesville, NC. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all that knew and adored him.

Born to the late Clifford and Alice Shaeffer on April 2nd, 1948 in Cleveland, Ohio, Paul was raised in Melbourne and Orlando, Florida, moved to Nashville, Tennessee and eventually settled in Charlotte, North Carolina. Paul was a retired mortgage banker with Wachovia and a Viet Nam era veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a devoted Christian, a faithful family man, and a conservative patriot.

Paul is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Jane; an adoring daughter, Jill, two wonderful grandsons, Ashton and Thomas who he loved dearly, his sister Peggy and her husband Gary Schroeder, his brother John and his wife Arlene Shaeffer, and a large and loving extended family. He was preceded in death by his sister Laura Shaeffer.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Shaeffer will be today, September 27, 2011 at 12:00 pm, Noon at McEwen Funeral Service Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Rd., Charlotte, NC 28210 with Pastor Jeff Walling officiating. Burial will follow at Sharon Memorial Park Cemetery, 5400 Monroe Rd., Charlotte, NC 28212. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at McEwen Pineville.
