

Pearl Elizabeth McCall, 93, of Charlotte passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love of her family and her loving Lord. She was born September 14, 1921 in Mt. Sterling, PA to the late Charles W. and Ruth T. Cropp. Pearl was a faithful and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and friend to many. She encouraged her family with her deep faith, gentle spirit and words of wisdom. Even during many years of illness and health challenges, she reminded us that “Each Day is a Gift” and we must thank the Giver.
Pearl is predeceased by her husband of 50 years, William C. McCall; her sisters, Ruth Lahew and Jean Lyttle and her brother, Ervin. She is survived by her son, Charles “Chazz” McCall of Traverse City, MI; daughter, Pamela (Jonathan) Field of Charlotte; grandchildren, Amy (Josh) Field Ivester of Lewisville, NC; Katy (Joe) Field Wind of Charlotte; John (Denise) Gorman of Hawaii and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Jack (Patricia) Cropp of Orlando, FL and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the Hospice team for their care and support during the final days.
A visitation will be held at McEwen Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Rd., Charlotte on Monday January 19 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. A service to celebrate her life will follow in the chapel.
A private committal will be held in Winter Park, FL.
