Phyllis Hart Garner

Phyllis Hart Garner, age 83, of Charlotte, North Carolina passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2025. Born March 25, 1942 in Charlotte, she was the daughter of the late James Everette and Rosalind "Mac" (McLain) Hart.

She was a graduate of Myers Park High School and Meredith College; and a member of Junior Womens Club of Winston Salem. Phyllis worked for the family business, Harris Hart Clothing, while attending high school and college. She later managed the business after her father passed away. She was owner and operator of Strategic Area Marketing. Later in life she became a real estate broker.

Phyllis enjoyed planning her high school reunions, attending her grandsons sporting events, crossword puzzles, sudoku, traveling and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Hollie (Eric) Garner Line; grandsons, Garner (Mary) Hughes and Zach Hughes; great-grandchildren, Grayson Hughes and Hartlynn Hughes; sister, Deborah Hart; brothers, James "Pat" (Sandy) Hart, Frank (Kay) Hart and Tim Hart; devoted partner, Tom Stockton; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Phyllis will be held Friday, June 13, 2025 from 1:00 PM until the time of her funeral service at 2:00 PM in the chapel of McEwen Funerals and Cremations at Forest Lawn West, 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC.
