

Ralph Eugene McCormick Jr., a child of God, was called home on January 15th 2014. He was born in Nashville, Tennessee on May 11th 1948. Ralph attended the University of Tennessee and graduated from Kings College in Charlotte, North Carolina. Ralph proudly served his country during the Vietnam War.
In life, Ralph was a friend to many and never met a stranger he didn't like. Ralph is survived by his two loving daughters, Darby (Randy) Johnson and Keitt (Jeff) Courtne along with Darby and Keitt's mother Jeannie McCormick, and his five cherished grandchildren, Hailey Johnson, Karley Johnson, Abigail Courtney, Audrey Johnson and Mark Courtney. Ralph is also survived by his sisters and their families. He will be joining his Mother, Father, Stepfather, Brother and Son in his heavenly home.
Ralph was devoted to doing God’s work, witnessing in nursing homes and prisons and to anyone he met. He was a true hero to those that knew him, especially his family.
A visitation will be held from 5:00PM-7:00PM Sunday, January 19, 2014 at McEwen Funeral Service Charlotte Chapel, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC 28212. A funeral service will be held also at McEwen’s Charlotte Chapel at 11:00AM Monday, January 20, 2014. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Levine Children’s Cancer Center, 1000 Blythe Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28203.
