Ralph Patrick Stanley Jr.

Mr. Ralph Patrick Stanley, Jr., son of the late Ralph and Mildred Stanley, Sr., died January 7, 2015 at Carolinas Medical Center - Mercy in Charlotte, NC. Patrick, as he was known, was a quiet man who loved gardening, the outdoors and NASCAR. Patrick was also fond of his son-in-law’s aqua 1968 Ford pick-up truck. He was an avid fan of the late Dale Earnhardt. Patrick entered the U.S. Army in his youth and attained the rank of Sergeant (E-5). He was honored to be selected as a part of the honor guard for President Dwight D. Eisenhower’s funeral in 1969. On March 3, 1968, he married the love of his life, Barbara Benton.

Those that are left to cherish his memories include his wife of forty six years, Barbara Stanley; daughter and son-in-law, Christie and Patrick Ferguson of Indian Trail, NC; sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Mickey Little of Denver, NC; and two grand-dogs, Jake and Sparky.

Funeral service will be held Friday, January 9, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Mausoleum of Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Rd, Mint Hill, NC. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
