

Remedios “Remy” Salcedo was a caring sister, Auntie, and friend. She passed away on Monday, July 18, 2022. Remy was 83 years old. Her loving heart will continue to shine a light for her family and friends, all over the world.
Remedios Salcedo was born to Andres and Genoveva Salcedo on February 14, 1939, in Sinait Ilocos Sur, Philippines. She immigrated to Charlotte, NC in 1969 and was an employee of the United States Postal Service for more than 20 years, until her retirement, in 2009. Remy was looked to as a leader in the Filipino community of Charlotte and she loved gathering with family and friends. Remy was a devout Catholic and member of her church, Our Lady of Assumption.
Remy is survived by her sister, Consolacion Zambrano and her husband, Leodevico Zambrano along with their son, Julius, wife Stefanie and their children, Aaron, Adelina, and Austin.
Remy is also survived by many of her nieces and nephews: Alfredo Salcedo and wife Natividad, along with their son Matthew Joshua. Maritess Campos and husband Albert, along with their children, Almarie, Mark, Archie, and Abemae. Edgar Salcedo and wife Gina, along with their daughter Eunice.
Additionally, Remy is survived by her great nieces: Ardeeh Williams and Jeanette Rebebes and great nephews: Lyle Salcedo and Aladdin Rebebes.
Remy was preceded in death by her parents, Andres and Genoveva Salcedo as well as her brother, Bruno Salcedo, and his wife Teresita. She was also preceded in death by her nephew Leopoldo Salcedo and her nieces: Lydia Rebebes, Dolores Salcedo, and Marissa Rebebes.
A visitation for Remy will be held Wednesday, July 27, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Wilson Funeral & Cremation Service, 5301 Albemarle Rd. Charlotte, NC 28212.
A funeral mass will occur on Thursday, July 28, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Assumption, 4207 Shamrock Dr. Charlotte, NC 28215.
