Renee Moore Hicks

She was born on July 14, 1963, in Pineville, NC, to Gayle Franklin Moore and Brenda McManus Moore.

Renee worked as a secretary at Southern Truck Service for the last twelve years.

She was a member of Mary Elizabeth Baptist Church in Waxhaw, NC. She enjoyed teaching the youth at her church and the fellowship of our church family

Survivors include her husband, Michael, Waxhaw; her pride and joy, Cody, Waxhaw; five siblings, Melissa Goodwin, Greensboro, NC; Herb Moore and Annette Knopp, both of Pineville, NC; Vickie Rhyne, Clover, SC; and Mike Moore, Pineville; and five grandchildren, Haley, Landon, Caleb, Dixie, and Anna.

Her family will receive friends on Monday, May 14, 2012, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at McEwen Funeral Service-Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Rd., Charlotte, NC. Her funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at Mary Elizabeth Baptist Church, 3703 Mary Elizabeth Rd. or 5007 Tom Starnes Rd., Waxhaw, NC. Rev. Richard Johnson and Reverend Curtis Laney will officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Renee was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Nikki Moore, and her brother, Frankie Moore.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Hospice House of Union County or Mary Elizabeth Baptist Church.
