Richard Henry Williamson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard Henry Williamson, 88, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who left this world on August 14, 2025, in Indian Land, South Carolina.

Richard proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, embodying the values of dedication and service that defined his life. A member of Doby's Bridge Presbyterian Church, Richard found strength and community in his faith. Richard also had a passion for woodworking, a hobby that allowed him to express his creativity and craftsmanship.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Doris, who was his partner in life and love. Richard is also survived by his children, Alisha McDaniel, Vickie Lacey, Pamela Houston, Doreen Therrell, and Douglas Williamson, who carry forward his values and spirit, as well his sister, Mary Catherine Rushing, who shared countless memories with him. He was a proud grandfather to many whose lives he enriched with his wisdom and affection.

Richard was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Angela Narendorf, and his brother, Doug Williams. Their memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved them.
