Roger Pittman Edwards Jr. (Robin) was born September 17, 1955 and passed away on January 24, 2018. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Jack & Eunice Overcash of Charlotte, Don & Frostie Edwards of Fair Bluff, and his father, Roger Pittman Edwards of Greensboro.
He is survived by his wife Amanda of 34 years, their two children; one daughter, Angie; one son, Tracy; one grandson, Teagan all of Denver NC. He is also survived by his mother Diana, one brother Buckley, and his 4-legged companion, Titan; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
If you were a friend, you called him “Robin”, a nickname given to him as a child. Robin grew up in Charlotte, but spent his summers on “the farm” in Fair Bluff, North Carolina picking tobacco. Robin became a self-made man in 1987 when he opened his own machine shop business (AART Machine Co.) in the one car garage of his home. He loved the water, whether it was the ocean, the lake, or just a creek. He enjoyed fishing at Holden Beach and at his home on Lake Norman or simply cruising around on his pontoon boat. He was a motorcycle enthusiast. This can be seen by his vast collection of old and new bikes. He earned his nickname Crash from his friend Clyde who says, Robin would buy them, ride them, crash them, and rebuild them.
Whether you knew him as Robin, Crash, or Paw Paw, you could never forget his passionate soul. If you ever had a debate with Robin, there is no doubt you knew where he stood. He will truly be missed by many.
