He was born in Wilcoe, WV, to the late Grover and Christine DeHaven Reynolds, and was preceded in death by his loving wife of 51 years, Kathy Louise Reynolds. He is survived by his daughter Claudia and her children, Morella and Isabella; his sister Beverley and brother Frank; his Aunt Libby and Aunt Jenny; and his special friend Sarah.
Roger received his B.S. in Mathematics from UNCC. He and Kathy spent their entire married life in the Charlotte area, where Roger enjoyed a successful 40-year career as a stockbroker. He was an active member of the Mineral Springs Church of Christ, where he served for many years as an Elder. Roger was an avid student of the capital markets and all matters of health and wellness, adored his family and was quick to help others. He served our country during the Vietnam War era, both in the Air Force and then later as a Navigator in the NC Air National Guard in the 156 AS for 16 additional years, retiring at the rank of Lt. Colonel.
A celebration of Roger's life will be held on Monday, May 9 at 11am at The Reid House, 134 W. John Street, Matthews, NC 28105. Free parking is available in the lot across from The Reid House on Freemont Street.
In honor of Roger's love of spring flowers, feel free to bring a living plant or flower. We'll use them to decorate The Reid House at his celebration of life.
