

Mr. Warren passed away peacefully on his 75th birthday, Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Lawyers Glen Retirement Center after a 3-year battle with Parkinson’s disease and dementia. Born June 6, 1940 in Pittsfield, MA, he was a son of the late George L Warren and Pauline Gilman Warren. Mr. Warren honorably served in the U.S. Navy. He retired with the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department as a motorcycle patrolman and detective.
A reception for family and friends will be held 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Saturday, June 13th at Wilson Funeral & Cremation Service. A service to celebrate the life of Ronald “Butch” A. Warren, Sr. will immediately follow at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment with Military Honors will be in Sunset Memory Gardens.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 12 years, Marge; Brothers, Everett and Chester. Children, Tammy Phifer (John), Jo Warren and Ronald Warren, Jr. (Chrissy); Grandchildren, Jennifer White, SSGT Daniel Freeman, Cara Warren, Max Warren, Evan Warren, Smith Warren, Sara Ryan and Dylan Phifer; Great Grandchildren, Joey Vasquez, Ellana White and AJ Freeman; Step Children, Donna Thomas (David), Debbie Turner (Rick) and Greg Pennington (Debie); Step Grandchildren, Jodi Hartis, Kelli Yerkes, Austin Turner, Hayden Turner, Brad Pennington and Amanda Pennington; Step Great Grandchildren, Brayden Hartis and Bryce Yerkes. In addition to his parents, Mr. Warren was preceded in death by a son, William Warren; and siblings, Ken, Francis and Gladys.
