
Ronald Wayne Dellinger, age 66 of Charlotte went to be with our Lord and Savior on February 9, 2014 at Presbyterian Hospital. A service to celebrate his life will be at 1:00PM Friday, February 18th at Shady Brook Baptist Church, Pastors George Sherman and John Thomas officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00-3:00PM at the church prior to the service. Interment will be in Forest Lawn West Cemetery with military rites. Born on August 9, 1947 in Charlotte he was the son of the late James and Mary Lee Dellinger. He was preceded in death by a brother, James Dellinger, JR and a sister, Joyce Dellinger. Mr. Dellinger was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a dedicated employee of the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System Maintenance Department until his retirement. He was a very strong, yet humble Christian, a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, and a faithful member of Shady Brook Baptist Church. He loved all of his church family and served as a deacon, trustee, usher and filled other positions as needed. Surviving is his wife, Vivian Dellinger, daughters, Cheryl Shore and husband, Todd and Laura Dellinger all of Charlotte, brother, Anthony (Tony) Dellinger and wife, Teresa of Winder, Ga., sister-in-law, Pennie Dellinger of Clayton, NC, three nephews and a niece. He was grandfather “PawPaw” to Haley & T. J. Shore and Carsyn & Camdyn Caldwell.
