Ruth Reid Stewart

Ruth was the youngest of five children born to Margaret Helms Stewart and Allen Cruse Stewart on May 9, 1923. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Allen C. Stewart, Jr., Roy H. Stewart, Sr., Guy H. Stewart and sister Margaret L. Stewart.

Ruth is survived by nieces Janice Mauney, Patti Severs, and Cheryl Mims and nephews Roy Stewart, Jr. and Tracy Stewart.

Miss Stewart retired from Wachovia Bank (Wells Fargo) in 1991 after many years of employment. She was a long time member of Quail Hollow Presbyterian Church where she actively served her Lord with the Inreach Committee, Newsletter Club and Presbyterian Women.

Ruth loved her family very much and she so enjoyed sitting on her porch watching the birds, rabbits and deer in her yard.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 6th at 2pm at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road in Charlotte. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday February 17th at Quail Hollow Presbyterian Church, 8801 Park Road in Charlotte. Pastor Augustus E. Succop, III will officiate both services.
