Sara Frances Jones

Sara, 69, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2013 at her home in Charlotte.

Born July 13, 1944 in Raleigh, Sara was a daughter of the late Edgar L. Jones, Jr. and Frances C. Jones. She was a graduate of Myers Park High School and furthered her education at Southern Seminary in Virginia.

Sara was active in the Junior League and Mecklenburg Hound Hunt Club, as well as the Charlotte Dog Training Club. She is survived by her brother, Edgar L. Jones, III, and three nephews, Edgar L. Jones, IV, Sean L. Jones and Travis Jones.

Sara’s family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, September 28th at Harry & Bryant Company, 500 Providence Road. A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 29th from the graveside in Evergreen Cemetery.
