

She was born on July 31, 1929 in Spruce Pine, NC to Joseph Key Havner and Ethel Testerman Havner. As a young child, Sarah moved to Wayne, WV. In High School, she met and married her husband Frank Hall. They were married for over 62 years.
In 1958 they moved to Charlotte where she worked for Delmar Studio and Pure Oil Company. In 1964 she became a stay-at-home Mom and helped her husband with the Frank Hall Concrete Service. Sarah was a very good cook, and her favorite titles were Mother and Grandmother. She enjoyed a large garden for years. Sarah lived with Dementia the last four years of her life, but was able to be at home cared for by her children.
Sarah was a long-time member of Woodlawn Baptist Church and served as Co-director of the Nursery and Children's Church for many years. She was always at church early to make coffee for everyone.
Survivors include one daughter, Carletta H. McIntosh , and two sons Danny Hall and Joe Hall. She also had five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces. Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carl “Frank” Hall, her brother Joseph Key Havner, Jr., sister Lucy Havner Kiker, and son-in-law Gene McIntosh.
Services will be held at Woodlawn Baptist Church, 4622 Nations Crossing Rd., Charlotte, NC 28217 on Monday, December 14, 2020 with a Visitation starting at 10 am, and the Funeral at 11 am. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn West Cemetery, 4601 Freedom Dr., Charlotte, NC 28208.
