Sharla Jean White

Sharla Jean White, 48, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away on March 20, 2026, at Novant Presbyterian Medical Hospital in Charlotte. Born on April 21, 1977, in Edenton, North Carolina, Sharla was the cherished daughter of the late George Harvey and Alice Jean White.

A graduate of Perquimans County High School in Hertford, NC, Sharla was known for her warm heart, unwavering love for her family, and the joy she brought to those around her. Her children were her world, and she took immense pride in their lives and accomplishments. Sharla has a kind spirit and enjoyed spending time outdoors, taking peaceful walks in the park, and treasured conversations with her friends and family. Her Care, laughter, and genuine love will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.

Sharla was preceded in death by her parents, George Harvey, Alice Jean White, and brother, Tige' Yaphet White. She is survived by her five children: Precious, Syncere, Michael, Heaven and Matthew White all of Charlotte, NC and eleven loving siblings: Tessa White of Philadelphia, PA; Cecily White of Charlotte, NC; Keesha White (Charles) of Charlotte, NC Orbei White of Philadelphia, PA; Joy Anderson (Robert) of Anchorage, AK; Matthew White of Raleigh, NC; Maude Turner (Willie) of Elizabeth City, NC; Melvin Privott of Hertford, NC Lillie Simpson (George) of Hertford, NC, Michael Harvey (Hatiesha) of Hertford, NC and Michelle Harris of Elizabeth City, NC. One aunt: Lillian White- Barden of Irvington, NJ, two uncles: Fred Harvey (Ann) & Waddell Harvey (Virginia) of Hertford, NC & a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her.

A memorial to celebrate her life will be set for a later date.
