Sherrie Deese Bommelje

For those planning to attend the service - please dress comfortably and in a way that shows your style. Sherrie was never one for formality, and would much prefer everyone to be in bright colors and happy than in black.

Our wife, mother, friend, and advocate, Sherrie Lynn Deese Bommelje, age 67, of Charlotte, NC went to bring joy to her mother, sister, father, nephew, and in-laws, and all who went before her on Wednesday, August 23, 2023. As a 3rd generation Charlottean, she passed exactly where she should be - in Charlotte.

Her light and legacy will keep moving within her husband, Scott; kids, Blake and Bonnie (Sean); grandpups; the friends she made in real life and even in the friends she made from plastic bags and solo cups. Everyone who knew her knows that they now bear the responsibility of loving fiercely, working hard, dancing like no one is watching, drinking quality beer, and never missing out on a good deal.

A memorial service for Sherrie will be held Tuesday, August 29, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Forest Lawn West Funeral & Cremation Service, 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC 28208.
