

Sherrie was a graduate of Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Most of Sherrie’s passions were concerned with wildlife and gardening. She was a master gardener, volunteer at the Wildlife Center of Virginia, and Friends of the Rappahannock.
Sherrie was preceded in death by her father, Lewis Walter Killough.
Survivors include her husband, Grant R. Woodwell, her mother Muriel C. Harris, stepfather William M. Harris, stepmother Liliane Killough, half-brother John T. Harris (Beth) of Apex, half-sister Lisa Killough of Charlotte, step-siblings, W.M. Harris, Jr., Mark G. Harris, Mimi Odom, and Rick Lloyd of Charlotte, as well as her beloved aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be held at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 5, followed by a service at 7 p.m., at McEwen Funeral Service–Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Road, Charlotte, NC. Reverend Beverly Brock will officiate. A private burial will be held the following morning at Sunset Memory Gardens in Mint Hill.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are welcome and can be made in Sherrie’s memory to the Wildlife Center of Virginia, P. O. Box 1557, Waynesboro, Virginia 22980.
