Shirley H. Graham

Shirley Harris Graham, 82, daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Milas and Ella Belton Harris was born on April 28, 1942 in Heath Springs, SC. She peacefully departed this earthly existence on Thursday, April 24, 2025.

The Graham family will greet friends 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at McEwen Funerals & Cremations at Forest Lawn West. A service to celebrate her life will be at 11:00 AM in the Chapel and burial will follow in Forest Lawn West Cemetery.

She accepted Christ at a young age. She began her Christian service at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Lancaster, SC and continued that service when she relocated to Charlotte, NC. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and later became a member of Clement Memorial AME Zion Church.

She was employed by The Charlotte Observer and worked several years before leaving to become a homemaker. She married Willie Graham on January 13, 1974 in Charlotte, NC. She was a devoted wife and parent, and will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Shirley was well liked by everyone that knew her. She will be remembered for her great sense of humor that kept everyone laughing. She will be missed by all of her family and friends.

Shirley leaves to cherish three sons, Dwayne Harris (Pamela) of Iron Station, NC, Ricky Harris (Eunice) of Lincolnton, NC, and Willie Graham of Charlotte, NC: along with grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
